Camine November Beauty Box

I received my Sample Beauty Box little late this month. This is due to Carmine trying to personalize it. I am glad they did. One of the items is a brow pencil and I have been asked too choose a shade. It's a great idea as I wouldn't be very happy if I received a dark pencil (I'm a blond).
If you're not sure what Carmine is please check out my post on October box here.
So here's what's inside:
*Neon Luxury Body Lotion 50ml
*Lulu's Time Bomb Flashback Night cream 15ml
*New Cid I-pout Lipstick (full size)
*Dainty Doll Eyeliner Pencil (full size)
*Cosmetics a la Carte Brow Inc

Same as previously I will put those to a good test and review them all for you.

Christmas/Birthday Wishlist

December is getting closer and closer and it's Gift time again! To me it's the only time of the year when I get any presents. That is because it's my Bithday too! It is a little bit unlucky but I got used to it by now :) and that way I can ask for bigger presents as it's combined Christmas and Birthday :)
I don't really expect to receive anything expensive and I will be happy even if it's only something worth a £1. It's the tought that counts! I do like surprises so I don't ask for anything in particular but bear that in mind I do have a little wish list in my head :)

Amazon Kindle. I love reading and this thing would save me so much space! It's perfect for travelling and books are cheaper :)
A new hair dryer. Mine is about 7 years old and on it's last legs. Isn't this one cute?
Mally Beauty. I wonder if it has as long staying power as the brand claims!
Laura Geller Baked Cosmetics. I would love to try some of these baked goodies. I have heard Balance 'n' Brighten powder works wonders.
Sigma beauty Make Me Crazy Travel Brush Kit. All the brushes I would ever need in a travel friendly sizes and great container that turns into a brush holder! I recon pencils would fit in there too!

Books I would like to read. You're probably thinking "what the hell?" on Bear Grylls one?! But I love his show and the book is meant to be great too.

I would love to know what's on your Christmas wish list!

Fondue evening

It has been miserable, rainy day today and evening is exactly the same. Nice Autumn walk is out of the question :( So what else to do other than eat chocolate and watch a good movie? That is how my evening will look like on this awful Tuesday evening.

What are you guys doing on the evening when weather is totally bonkers?

FratBoy Shadow/Blush and Daniel Sandler Eye Delight review - October Carmine box

It time to review make up items from October Carmine beauty box.

The Balm FratBoy Shadow/Blush:
Let my start with packaging. Adorably vintage looking and very practical! Easy to open and close with a magnet with a  mirror inside. Great to travel with as it's made out of cardboard so there's no worry that it will break.
As for product itself I love it! It's a dirty peachy/pink colour. It can be used as a blush or an eyeshadow. Althou I'm not really a pink eyeshadow person I tried it out and it actually looks nice! It's well pigmented and blends easily. The same thing when using it as a blusher. Creamy texture and easy to control when appling onto the cheeks. I think this colour would suit every skin tone out there.

Daniel Sandler Eye Delight Peach:
If I was going to describe this is one word it would be Shimmery Shimmer. Ok, that's two words but one Shimmer doesn't emphasise enough how shimmery this is. I didn't think I would ever need this much sparkle on my eyelids.
I did try it few times and found a perfect purpose for it even for a day time!
First I applied it on my entire lid and it was to light, too shiny and too much. Then I tried it as a cheek highlight and again too much sparkle. Finally I used it as a inner eye highlight and Bingo! Looks soo pretty. It opens my eyes and gives my eye make up that bit of extra something. I even used it in my inner corner without putting any eyeshadow on my lids and it instantly made me look awake and brightened  my face.
One thing to remember is to apply it with a light hand. Otherwise you will end up with way too much product and your face will look like it went to Shimmer Town.

I wouldn't go all the way pink normally but overall it doesn't look bad at all!

Hope you enjoyed!

Caudalie Sorbet-Creme - October Carmine box

Hiya!

Here is another review of a product from Carmine beauty box. This time it's Caudalie Face Sorbet-Cream for dehydrated skin.

At first I wasn't even sure if I will be able to use this stuff because my skin is normal/combination. I don't really need extra hydration especially during the day when my face becomes greasy looking after about 8 hours. I did give it a go anyway and was pleasantly surprised.
Packaging states that it's suitable for day and night use and formulated for sensitive skin. It doesn't contain parabens which is a bonus. I have been using it as a day cream only, simply because I do have Lirene cream in my Project 10 pan to finish off too, so that was going on my face at night.
Like I mentioned before I was little bit afraid it will make my skin greasy. But it didn't! Formula is really light,  it hydrated my skin well and kept sebum at bay durring the whole day. It absorbs pretty fast and creates nice base for make up.
Most surprising thing was that some of my "after spot" scars have faded a bit after using this cream for about 2 weeks. I don't think manufacturer mantiones anything about getting rid of scars but that's what's happened to me. Perhaps it just hydrates the skin so well that the scars become less visible? I'm not sure.

Scent it's mild and quite pleasant.

There is only one thing I'm curious about. If it was so good for my combination skin, will it be moisturizing enough for dry skin that it was designed for? I suppose you just have to try it and see for yourself. That is why I love beauty sample boxes! Because you can try those high end products without spending a fortune and decide if the product is worth buying.

Oh, and my 10ml sample lasted for one full month. Full size is £17 for 40ml so you're looking at 4 months of use.

Balance Me Hand Cream review - October Carmine box

Hi everybody!

I have been using products from my Carmine October beauty box for about a month now so I think it's time for a review. I will share my thoughts on the products in seperate posts so watch this space. Only item I am not entirely sure about is Trind Nail Repair. I am going to use it for a little longer before doing a review.

Ok, so first is Balance Me Super Moisturising Hand Cream. There is not much I can say about it as I don't expect a lot from a hand cream other than moisturizing my hands :)
A massive plus for being nearly 100% natural, not tested on animals and created in the UK.
Packaging says "...seriously rich, our cream has been formulated to leave even the driest hands smooth and soft to touch." and I agree with it all. It instantly gives relief to my dry hands and despite it's thick consitency it absorbs quickly without leaving greasy film on the skin. Thanks to it's thickness a little goes a long way. There is only one thing I don't like about it and that's scent. I don't mind lavender but I can't say I'm a big fan of it. This cream wouldn't bother me if it wasn't so strong. I applied it just before going to bed at night and unfortunately it gave me headache and I couldn't fall asleep!
For that reason I can't use it as a overnight treatment :( So I took it to work and keep it in my desk draw.

Overall it's a great hand cream. I do recommend it if you love lavender but if not I would skip it. As for me after I use up this sample I won't buy a full size one simply because of that scent.

Hope this was helpful!

Empties #1

Hi everybody!

Each month I use up everyday beauty products and I automatically reach for a replacement. These are products that are not included in project 10 pan nor something I would repurchase exactly the same. I am hoping to do a monthly series showing you what I've used up with a little review of the item and what I've decided to swap it for.
Hope you enjoy!

Lirene Face Cleansing gel. I bought this item in Poland back in June. I wanted an everyday cleanser that wouldn't dry out my skin. This gel was exactly what I needed. I used it whole Summer. It woke my skin up in the morning and refreshed it after a long day in the evening.
It didn't leave my skin dry and didn't make it oily. I am swapping it for Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser. My skin becomes more sensitive in the winter so I need something gentler.

Avon Senses Garden Of Eden shower gel. I haven't got much to say about this other than that is smells lovely. It lathers very nicely so a little goes a long way. Unfortunatelly it dries out my skin a bit. Sometimes when I was tired and couldn't be bothered to use body lotion the next day I was itching all over :( I swapped it for Sanctuary Body wash.

Autumn Best Buy Shoes

Hi everybody!

This is just a quick post about my latest favourite pair of shoes.

I bought these platform courts from H&M back in September. They turned out to be super comfortable. Lovely Autumny chesnut brown goes great with my navy trousers, jeans, dusty rose cardi or burgundy jumper. The great thing about this pair is that they can be easily dressed up or down. I have been wearing them with my smart outfits to work or pairing them with going out dresses. Brilliant shoes for only £25.
I love when something I didn't have big hopes for turnes out to be most worn thing in the season :)

What's your favourite/most worn Autumn shoes?

Avon Super Shock Gel Eyeliner

I am not a big fan of Avon make up. Unfortunatelly most items I purchased were dissapointing. I have heard a lot of good things about their Super Shock liners and for £2.50 (on offer) I decided to give it a go. I went for Khaki Shimmer and Plumful which are perfect description of the colours.

Surprisingly for me there are only good things I can say about Shock Liners. Colours are very pigmented and super pretty. Khaki green has tiny shiny gold particles and purple one is more of a perly finish.
Formula is soft, smooth and great for smudging. Staying power is also amazing. 10 hours and they didn't move or fade one bit :)

I highly recommend these liners and for £2.50 you can't go wrong anyway.

Dose of randomness:

*Isn't this the cutest, sweetest most adorable little creature on earth? :)

Dax Cosmetics Perfecta Spa Chocolate & Coconut Sugar Body Scrub

Dax Cosmetics is a Polish brand offering skin, body, hair care and make up.

My first and only product from their range is Chocolate & Coconut Sugar Body scrub. I bought this purly because I needed a body scrub and chocolate mixed with coconut sounded like a yummy combo.

I was not wrong when I smelt it! Scent of this scrub is devine! I have to stop myself from eating it everytime I use it! I also find this scent very relaxing and I'm not exaggerating when saying it makes me feel happy.
The product itself it great too. It is a sugar scrub which means exfoliating particles will melt while rubbing them into the skin. Unlike some other sugar scrubs I've used there is enough time to gently and slowly massage the skin before the particles dissapear. It has thick consistency and a lot of exfolitating bits so you don't feel like there is not enough to evenly scrub the skin.

After each use my skin was left soft, smooth and smelling amazingly. I didn't even have to use a body moisturizer after using it because it leaves lovely layer of... I wanna say oily but it's not oily or greasy by any means... let's just say it leaves layer of moisturizing loveliness on my skin :)
Overall I am giving top marks to this product. Cost is only £4 for big tub of 225ml. For comparison Body Shop scrub costs £12.50 200ml.

There is a big minus thou :( It is not accesible in the UK. But if you have a Polish friend I am sure they won't mind picking one up for you next time they're visiting Poland :)

Next thing I am going to try from this brand is Body butter which for what I can hear is as good as the scrub.

Any of you guys tried products from Dax cosmtics brand? Any woth recommending?

Dose of randomness:
*Katy Perry concert was amazing! I could go again in no time!
*My lips have been dry for the past month :( I think I've tried every existing lip balm and no difference :(
*Only 3 weeks until my mobile upgrade. Whoop whoop! Khm ...what should I get?
*I have worked out a little book reading system. One scary book and one light, funny book taking turns :)
*Sudocrem saved me. It got rid of my horrible, red rash in no time.

Boots Vitamin E eye cream review

I was on the lookout for a non expensive moisturizing eye cream for quite a while now. I noticed most eye creams are targeted on reducing fine lines. I don't need anti-wrinkle cream and didn't want to spend a lot of money for a simple moisturizer. I am firm believer that moisturization is the best wrinkle prevention and it's better to be safe than sorry :)

I came across this little tube in boots about a month ago. I have been using it everyday since and have to say that it is everything I have been looking for in an eye cream.
It is light, creamy and blends really smoothly which is important because you don't want to drag the delicate skin around your eyes. At first I thought it was tinted as it's beige-y colour but that's not the case. I haven't got dark under eye circles but there is a bit of discolouration in my outer corners. After using this cream for about 4 weeks I noticed to my surprise that this bit of darkness is gone. In my opinion it is as good for the night as for the day. In the mornings it instantly brightness my eyes and makes me look awake. Plus I didn't notice it causing any problems with my make up during the day. Extra brownie points for SPF 15 and price which is only £2.54.

I did have a look on the boots website and I am not the only person giving this eye cream 5 stars. There is around 20 reviews on the web all giving top marks to this little guy.

Chilly, dark Autumn evenings

This is how I like to spend mine :)

Oil Burners or Fragranced candles make me feel calm and realxed after an exhausting day. Currently I'm enjoying Orange and Chocolate and Grapefruit oils. But my absolute fovourites for Autmn and Winter are Vanilla and Apple & Cinnamon :)

Book is a must! Reading Mini Shopaholic at the moment. It's light and funny plus makes me feel better about my own shopping addiction :)

Box set of tv series :) Sex and the City I have seen about 4 times (All Seasons!!!) but still love it and I don't think I will ever get bored of it. I also enjoy Gilmore Girls, Bones, Big Bang Theory. Any recommendations from you guys?

This goes without saying! A good cup of tea to worm up the old tired bones :)
